About us

CARLOS BANNISTER

I grew up as an only child who was constantly surrounded by a barrage of 1st cousins of all ages in a small city in Virginia called Roanoke. We shared laughs, love and home cooked meals, a recipe for joy for years to come. We moved to Richmond VA when I was 10 years old where I meet some of my best friends who I am still in contact with today. The streets of Richmond VA prepared me for some of life's most beautiful and cruel components which continue to help me to empathize with people from all walks of life. I currently live in theTriad area of NC with my wife and two children working full-time as an allied health care professional. Time is a precious commodity. I give back because it brings a joy to me that receiving never has or will. You learn more about yourself and others when acts become selfless. As A philanthropist, my biggest hope is to make such an impact on the world that a ripple effect will spawn the need or interest in others doing the same. Hopefully, creating a continuous feed back loop that allows a firm homeostasis for all communities.

ERIK GARLAND

I am Erik Garland. I grew up in the small town of Milton, in North Carolina. Raised by a predominately military family, the concepts of focus, preparation, and drive were instilled at an early age. As the middle son of 3, it was imperative to recognize balance. An adult now, it is much clearer that balance is more of a skill, than an idea. Professionally, I am a physical therapist, but I am a passionate entrepreneur and investor, intrigued by economics and the financial markets.

I am married just under 10 years to a wonderful wife; with a daughter who turned 8 this year. In the last several years I have focused on leveraging time and resources for exponential returns. Consequently, I have been blessed with health, family, wealth, and vison.

It is important for me to lend a hand to those in need; help those who cannot help themselves; and be motivation to those seeking encouragement. People have the choice to be solitary and egotistical or kind and open. The former isolates us from one another, preventing the interconnectedness that promotes the growth and abundance that the latter offers. It is my pleasure to be co-founder of FATE.
